๐Ÿ‘๏ธโ€๐Ÿ—จ๏ธTechnology and design

In Legion of Vengeance, we are combining top-notch Web2 game design and the best practices of Web3 gaming.

Built with Unreal Engine

Using the best game development software allows us to create realistic textures and landscapes, detailed 3D scenes, and fluid animations. Legion of Vengeance will be an AAA game, with dramatic battle sequences and spell effects. We want the design to live up to the epic story.

Fast blockchain

The smart contract development for the moment is ongoing on BNB Chain, but we are exploring other, faster and more scalable, EVM possibilities, plus a few non-EVM options with an EVM implementation.

Legion of Vengeance will appeal to dozens or even hundreds of thousands of players, including Web2 gamers who arenโ€™t prepared to deal with slow blockchain transactions and high fees. We want them to have a smooth Web2 experience with NFTs and tokens added as extra value, not as frustrating drawbacks.

Our objective is to offer near-zero fees and transaction finality under 3 seconds or even instant finality. Possible options that fit the bill include Polygon, IMX, Aptos, Sui, and several other new-generation chains. If we move the game from BNB Chain, the HPE token will also be migrated. Weโ€™ll reveal more details in Q3-4 2023.

NFT

Every battle unit and artifact is an NFT, which you can trade in the marketplace, store in a wallet, etc. NFTs belong only to you: they are real digital goods. Holding NFTs also gives players the right to participate in DAO voting.

We will regularly issue new themed NFT collections to keep things interesting, and youโ€™ll even get free mints and NFT airdrops (including from partner projects) if you already hold certain troops and artifacts. We also plan to introduce crafting: merging two or more NFT to produce one with unique enhanced characteristics.

DAO

HPE and NFT holders will form a DAO, which will vote on many practical matters: the release for new features; special NFT collections (timed to holidays, events etc.); reward adjustments; DEX pools; art designs; partnerships with other GameFi projects, and so on.

What we want to do differently from other Web3 games is to focus on NFT holders rather than just token holders. When voting power depends only on token holdings, you get a few whales (early investors, market makers, the team) with the majority of votes that can push through any decision. But in Legion of Vengeance, it will be real players โ€“ those who own units and artifacts โ€“ to make decisions.

Marketplace

This is an internal NFT marketplace to trade battle units, artifacts, and buildings. However, youโ€™ll also be able to list your Legion of Vengeance NFTs on third-party marketplaces. Every NFT sale will generate a small royalty sent directly to the gameโ€™s Treasury.
