The great explosion and the move underground

When the Black Hole Empire attacked Evergem, the people of Ahatria fought heroically, but the enemies were too numerous. Finally, the Paramount Leader had to take a tragic but necessary step: blow up all the hyperium in the warehouses.

This gigantic explosion destroyed everything on the surface of Evergem. Resulting radiation made it unfit for life, killing most of the invaders – and the Paramount Leader himself. Luckily, the surviving Ahatrians hid underground, where they eventually built whole subterranean cities using their exceptional mining and drilling skills. They and their children would never see the light of day again.
