# The rise of the Black Hole Empire

Because of its immense reserves of hyperium and other rare ores, Evergem became a prime target for the Black Hole Empire – an upstart realm that wanted to overthrow the Galactic Federation. Capturing the planet would give the Lord of the Black Hole a monopoly over starship teleportation and dominance over the galaxy.
